HFC! This is the best BBQ I've ever had! I've had Great and Amazing, but this was Spectacular! The Grand Haven location is a little unique. It's located inside the Grand Armory Brewery. It's a nice atmosphere with high ceilings making it feel more open than it is. You can sit inside or out or get Takeout. Your drinks and food come from different locations. The ordering is different than most places too. You can either go up to the food counter to order your food and tell them your table number and they will deliver it. Then you go to bar to order your drinks and ditto. Also the only soda on tap is Draft Root Beer. The other way to order is to use your phone and 2 separate QR's. This brings you to toasttab. Here you order your food, and pay on your phone and they deliver it to your table. Then you have the drink one which also uses toasttab, but this time you open a tab. Select your drinks and they are delivered. When your all done you close tab and your all done. I ordered the 3 meats and 2 sides (25). I chose Pulled Pork, Brisket, and Beef Polish Sausage for my meats. For my sides I got Butter Beads and Fried Apples! It also came with Cornbread Waffle. For a drink I got the Draft Root Beer (2 each). Everything was Outstanding. My taste buds threw a rager! Everything was tender, everything had it own unique and wonderful taste. I don't really know what makes them butter beans, but where have you been my whole life. The Root Beer was top notch, easily worth the price. Also the sauces I tried were Original, Peach Apricot, and Blueberry or Blackberry. The were all very liquid, aka not thick at all. I really liked them all. Sauce isn't needed, but it really does enhance the meats. The cornbread Waffle was the best cornbread I've ever had also, and the Honey butter just plain is heaven on top. The service for what it is was very good. Drinks came out very quick and food was delivered promptly when it was finished cooking. Overall am easy 10. I mean 5 star review. Would I return? Lol! Duh! Can we please get a location in Grand Rapids, preferably south side!
Great food!! Wonderful atmosphere and view. We are huge BBQ lovers and we will definitely be back. Their butter beans side were delicious, the tots appetizer was delicious, and the cornbread waffles will be in my Heaven if possible. Unbelievably good.
Kailyn is a wonderful server! Polite, prompt on service and friendly demeanor. I had the Brisket Wet Burrito. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!! Delicious
We were visiting from out of town & this place was recommended by a local. Nice place with excellent food. Our waitress Maddie was very helpful with recommendations on the menu. She mentioned the brewery part is not up & running yet but should be maybe by the end of the year. We will be back next year to check it out. Sat out on the deck initially, but was a little too chilly/windy for us. We were happily moved inside. The deck is dog friendly but the pets must come in through the side gate, not through the restaurant. All in all a nice place.
Great spot in Spring Lake! Had a delicious dinner sitting at the bar, with great service from Kyle! Love having local craft beer options on draft, and so many menu items. If you’re in the area, this is a great stop. Our only suggestion would be to turn down the lights at the bar and throughout the restaurant-it was way too bright!
Amazing BBQ food, Great Service, Friendly workers and Beautiful atmosphere. So glad that you guys are now in Spring Lake! Also definitely recommend the Dirty Tots with BBQ sauce on it. So good and tasty.
We had an incredible dining experience at Dr. Rolf's! The portion sizes were generous, the food was simply delicious, and they offered a wide array of options to choose from. What made it even better was the stunning view of the river, providing a picturesque backdrop to our meal. We had a large group, everyone ordered something different, and everyone loved their meals. I highly recommend the tots or the chips and dip appetizers!!
Lunch during our ride along the Lakeshore. A perfect place to stop right along the bike trail! Great service and food was solid! I had the brisket crunch wrap with a yummy queso dip and tortillas, my husband had the pulled pork sandwich. Sat outside on a beautiful patio, loved it!
